Instagram down? It seems that the photo-sharing platform owned by Facebook is again facing an outage. Downdetector confirms the outage with a massive spike. HIGHLIGHTSInstagram is again down within a week of the massive six-hour outage that knocked off all popular Facebook properties.Facebook service is also reported to be having issues though not a major one.In India, Instagram and Facebook are working fine at the time of writing this article.Instagram is again down for several users within a week after the photo-sharing platform faced a massive outage late on Monday.

At the time of writing this article, Downdetector confirmed the Instagram outage with a sharp spike where around 10,400 users reported issues related to the app while some with the server connection. In India, both Instagram and Facebook are working fine as the services haven’t stopped working. But, some users are facing issues with posting photos on the platform.Facebook has now confirmed the outage, and here’s what the social media giant said on Twitter, “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”The new statement by Facebook is again a generic one, and it tells us nothing at the moment. But we will wait and hope that we get to hear more about this outage, or should we say the latest edition of the Instagram outage (no pun intended).Instagram Communication team handle has also tweeted about the outage and in a generic statement, it says, “We know some of you may be having some issues using Instagram right now (Smiling face with tear emoji used). We’re so sorry and are working as quickly as possible to fix.” Compared to Monday, the outage late on Friday seems to be a minor one as most of the features are working except posting a new photo. Instagram Stories are working fine for most of the people we could check with at this time. You cannot post new photos at this point, as you can see in the above screenshot that’s stuck on the posting screen on top of the timeline.Click here for our site’s complete coverage of the coronavirus pandemic.
